The campaigning community group Linwood Active, which is fighting to raise funds to finance new play areas in and around Linwood, are asking all local people to save their old clothes and textiles over the Christmas period so that Linwood Active can collect them at designated places in the new year to raise funds. A Linwood Active spokesperson said:

 

“Most folk have old jerseys, jumpers, and items of clothing which they might think has had its day, especially when viewed against the new additions which probably will arrive on Christmas Day to replace them. So we are asking all our supporters and friends to hold onto them but donate them to us to boost our fighting fund to help the children of Linwood”.

 

“Linwood Active will not rest on its laurels and we will continue our campaign to raise funds so that our community can have play areas which our children of all ages can enjoy safely, and which will help to make Linwood look a more modern, better, and nicer place to live. Please help us all you can “.

 Linwood Active will arrange a drop off point after the hustle & bustle of Xmas and the January Sales !
