RUBBISH AT SHOPPING CENTRE

The area at the back of the shopping centre near what locals know as "the tunnel" seems to have become a no mans land since the fires and vandalism of the "weekend of madness" on the 10th Feb. The three commercial bins standing at rear of the old church hall seem to be emptied on a regular basis and everything is as clean as you could expect but the bin and surrounding area at the tunnel and stair access to flats above is disgusting. We have already heard the excuses behind the delay in making safe the vandalised concrete  bench at Linstone offices. Balmore are still the responsible owners and as such nobody else would make the public hazard safe. It took 2 weeks for anything to be done with that. Who is responsible for the mess left at the tunnel area as you see in the photo below? Shop staff as well as shoppers are walking through it every day. I read on the message board that someone has already spotted rats moving in. Maybe thats a good sign for Linwood as rats are better known for leaving a sinking ship!

PAVEMENT REPAIRS AT DOCTORS SURGERY

Perhaps a case of better late than never. Sad that the repairs are only underway after public announcement of the demolition of Shopping Centre and subsequent regeneration by Tesco. A timely reminder however that all public areas still in use need to be  kept in a good state of repair.

Skip with rubbish written on side
Photo just had to be taken as the writing on skip seems symbolic of the Shopping Centre.
